This privacy policy explains how TechXtorm (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses personal information when you visit techxtorm.com or get in touch with us. TechXtorm is the controller of that information.

02Information we collect
Information you give us
When you send an enquiry through one of our forms, we collect your name and email address and, if you choose to provide them, your phone number, company name, the service you are interested in, your budget range and the details of your project.
If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we receive your contact details and whatever information you choose to share.
Information collected automatically
When you send a form, we record the date and time, the page you sent it from and your IP address, to protect our forms from spam and abuse. Like most websites, our hosting provider and Cloudflare also keep standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site running securely.
Analytics, only if you agree
If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, how you arrived (for example from one of our adverts), your approximate location, your device and browser, and whether you sent an enquiry. We use this to improve the site and measure our advertising, not to identify you. If you reject or ignore the cookie banner, none of this is collected.
03How we use your information
We only use your information for the purposes below, and UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each one:

We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing without your permission, and we never sell your personal information.
04Cookies and similar technologies
We keep cookies to a minimum. Google’s analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you click Accept on our cookie banner.

Everything except the Google cookies is strictly necessary for the site to work securely, or only supports features you use during your visit, so it does not need consent. You can change your cookie choice at any time using at the bottom of any page, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
05Who we share it with
We only share your information with service providers who help us run our website and business, and only as much as they need:
- our web hosting provider, which stores the website and processes form submissions;
- Cloudflare, Inc., which delivers the website securely and protects it from attacks;
- our email provider, which delivers and stores emails, including enquiries sent through our forms;
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads), only if you accept analytics cookies;
- WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to contact us through WhatsApp; its own privacy policy applies.
We may also share information with professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, or when the law requires it.
06International transfers
We have offices in the United Kingdom and the United States, and some of our service providers, including Google and Cloudflare, are based outside the UK. When your information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by safeguards required under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK–US data bridge.
07How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years after our last contact with you, so we can refer back to our conversation. If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for as long as we provide our services and for six years afterwards, to meet UK legal and tax requirements. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Technical logs are kept for short periods set by our providers.
08How we keep it secure
We use HTTPS encryption, keep our systems and software up to date, limit access to personal information to the people who need it, and protect our forms against spam and abuse. No website can be completely secure, but we take appropriate steps to protect your information.
09Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict how we use it;
- object to us using it on the basis of our legitimate interests;
- receive your information in a portable format (data portability);
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it, for example by changing your cookie settings.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month, and there is usually no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
If you are in the United States, you may have similar rights under the law of your state, such as the right to know about, correct or delete your personal information. Contact us and we will help.
10Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
